Author Meet-Ups

When I began planning our very first reading retreat and book weekend, I hoped to strike the perfect balance between offering guests ample time to relax and indulge in their own reading while also fostering a sense of community. Another priority was providing access to exciting, new-release books that aren’t widely available.

With these two goals in mind, we’ve curated three special author events for our inaugural weekend, designed to add a touch of engagement and inspiration each day. I am happy to share the details of these mini-events with you:

Friday, 21st February - Wine Tasting with Lucy Steeds to introduce her debut novel, 'The Artist' which transports us in food, imagery and paint to the south of France following WWI.

Saturday, 22nd February - Drinks & Dinner with Anna Bailey to discuss her latest book, 'Our Last Wild Days' and a southern gem of a crime thriller that takes me back to my roots in Texas and with a twist!

Sunday, 23rd February - Brunch Talk with Sanam Mahloudji exploring her debut 'The Persians' as a hilarious story spanning generations and expectations from families that have been torn apart and rebuilt.

All of our guests will have the unique opportunity to chat directly with the authors, discussing their novels, reading habits, travel experiences and book trends, all while sharing meals and causal community.
